About the Space
A mixed-use retail/office space in the Wynwood area of Miami — one of the city’s most popular districts with boutiques, restaurants and late-night bars.
The Goal
With break-ins and crimes still happening under the watch of on-site security, the building owner knew it was time to find a more comprehensive system to ensure protection.
The Visentry Competitive Advantage
Replacing in-person guarding with remote guarding, lowering risks and costs, heightening security (24/7 monitoring), providing advanced analytics on the cameras.
THE CHALLENGE
Securing a broader area without breaking the bank.
In addition to art galleries and stores, this mixed-used space is also home to clubs (including a rooftop bar) that are open late. While two security personnel were on-site, guests kept ending up in restricted areas and issues, like pickpocketing, continued to occur. With numerous gates and entrances that needed to be monitored, keeping the whole area secure required a more comprehensive surveillance system.

Urgency to Find a Solution For Security
THE SOLUTION
Analyze, Prioritize, Expand and Enhance Security.
After performing a gap analysis of current security operations, Visentry had a new surveillance system installed, outfitted with video analytics and artificial intelligence to detect anomalies and send alerts to trigger human intervention.
With eyes on the entire facility, the surveillance system allows Visentry remote guards to help manage the security guards on site. Consider a pickpocketing incident: Remote guards can alert the security guard of where the issue is, provide details about the suspect and create an incident report for their records.
Functioning as a security center, Visentry remote guards also open and close the mixed-use space. With complete control over building access, they can unlock and lock gates/doors to align with business hours and keep trespassers out.

What Success Looks Like
Reduced a building owner’s risk of having a guard on-site (contracting/spreading COVID, altercations involving the guard).
Measurable Improvements
Saving approximately $37/hour/ guard (for the cost of the physical security guards they were able to eliminate), 24/7 remote guarding

Overall Impact on the Mixed-Use Building
Reimagined security using cameras, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and two-way communication. This helped the Mix-Use Building avert approximately 5+ incidents per week.
The Results...
Thanks to Visentry, the building owner was able to eliminate one of the two security guard positions on-site. With Visentry services costing about $4,000 per month, the reduction in a single guard has saved more than $2,000 per month in operational costs. All the while, the security structure has become far more effective, as remote Visentry guards work closely with the on-site guard to minimize and address security-related issues. Utilizing advanced AI camera technology Visentry combines advanced security that never blinks.
The building owner was so pleased with the results from Visentry that he’s placing two more buildings in Miami under its surveillance.
